Social Emotional Assessments

When children or teens struggle with anxiety, depression, or emotional regulation, it impacts every part of life.

Our assessments help identify underlying emotional or behavioral concerns and provide a roadmap for support. We look at the whole picture to understand what your child is experiencing and what will help them thrive.

This is for when:

Your child seems anxious, withdrawn, or unusually sad

You notice frequent meltdowns, emotional outbursts, or difficulty regulating feelings

Your child has experienced trauma or significant life changes

School performance is declining due to emotional or behavioral struggles

You want to understand if anxiety, depression, or other concerns are present

Knowledge to be gained:

The specific emotional or behavioral challenges your child is facing

Whether conditions like anxiety, depression, OCD, or trauma-related issues are present

How emotional difficulties are impacting academics, relationships, and daily life

Recommendations for support (therapy, community resources, effective coping strategies)

Recommended therapeutic supports and interventions for your child

How It Works

The Process

Getting started is straightforward, and we guide you through every step.

Initial
Consultation

30–45 minutes

We begin with a conversation to understand your concerns, gather background information, and determine which assessment is right for your child. This can be done in personor virtually.

Assessment
Sessions

4–6 hours, typically split across 2–3 visits

Your child will complete a series of age-appropriate tasks, tests, and activities in a comfortable, supportive environment. We make theexperience as positive as possible. We also ask for input from parents, caregivers, teachers, etc.

Scoring and Report Preparation

2–3 weeks

We analyze the results and prepare a comprehensivewritten report that includes test scores, clinical observations, diagnoses (if applicable), and detailed, practical recommendations.

Feedback
Session

60–90 minutes

We meet with you to review the findings, answer your questions, anddiscuss next steps. You'll leave with a clear understanding of your child's profile and an actionable plan. Wecan also meet with your child's school team if requested.

Ongoing
Support
